It has the ability to hold its temperature for a longer period of time making it easier to use in some instances. This asphalt creates less greenhouse gases which makes it better for the environment.
Cold Mix Asphalt

This is used often by companies during months that hot or warm mix asphalt can’t sustain its temperature. Porous asphalt is used in places like playgrounds, parking lots, sidewalks, and driveways. It is designed to allow moisture to seep through the top layer of asphalt to a layer of gravel below it. It can be helpful to use this in areas that have a difficult time with storm water management. In these areas, porous asphalt may prove to be a necessary solution.
